PULSE remembrance ceremony to be held on Saturday in SBY

SALISBURY, Md. – Saturday marks the five year anniversary of the biggest hate crime in U.S. history. On June 12th, 2016 a gunman opened fire at PULSE in Orlando, Florida. 49 people were shot and killed, with 58 others injured, at the gay bar and nightclub. To honor those lost, Salisbury PFLAG and Moms Demand Action are holding a remembrance ceremony at the Salisbury Riverwalk Amphitheater.
PFLAG Board President Nicole Hollywood says there will be speakers, live music, and a moment of silence. “The harm and trauma of hate-motivated crimes has a rippling effect. It extends far beyond the immediately victims,” said Hollywood.
Hollywood says having a space to come together and heal is one of the best ways to move forward and grow stronger. “It’s the largest hate crime in US history, and it’s going to be all over the news. It’s better for us to have the opportunity to come together, share our emotions, and talk about them, and have an opportunity to celebrate life where we can, celebrate our progress, and hold reverence for the ones we’ve lost,” said Hollywood.
The event is happening from 8 to 9 p.m. It’s free and open to anyone who would like to come out and support the LGBTQ+ community.

This is so far left it is ridiculous we are going to in Salisbury honor every hate crime victim in this country rather it pertains to us or not. Are we going to go back to all the Hollocaust victims in WWII as well, or all the white people that were killed during the riots of years ago by the Black Panthers and radicals. Are we going to reopen the war in Vietnam where we lost many American Soldiers. We all remember history stirring up every perceived injustice does nothing to heal the racism that the left wants us to jump on every day can we just have peace the Covid has done enough to us all we need to heal and move on in positive ways not stir hate every hour. Instead of this event why not have a gathering in the city park to just bring people together call it Salisbury Heals.

This is an opportunity for the gun grabbing group, “Moms Demand Action” to to team up with the HOMO group Salisbury PFLAG to take advantage of some killings by a Homo with a mental illness to try to take our guns away from us!

Hanna Cechini is a disgrace to our local TV station. I can’t believe channel 47 would shove this down our throats like they have with presenting to us a so called female who wishes she was anything but, all dressed up in her little brother’s clothes. She needs to go back to New Jersey or wherever she hails from. She doesn’t fit in with our Eastern Shore values. I have quit watching channel 47 because of her (it). She’s as slap in the face to moral, normal and God fearing locals, Get rid of her. She should know she is not welcome here but I guess she stays because they love to rub your nose in it,
