A former NASA space shuttle commander who drove drunk and killed two sisters in horrific fatal crash after spending hours drinking wine in a motel room has been sentenced to four years in jail.
James Halsell Jr. of Huntsville, on Thursday pleaded guilty to two manslaughter and two assault charges after he rear-ended a car in rural Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, killing 11-year-old Niomi Deona James and 13-year-old Jayla Latrick Parler, and injuring their father and another woman, on June 6, 2016.
On the night of the crash, Halsell Jr. refused police to test his blood for alcohol or drugs at the scene.
Howver, officials obtained a court order several hours later to check his blood. Halsell’s lawyer, James R. Sturdivant, said the results did show he was under the influence of the prescription sleep medicine Ambien/Zolpidem, according to the New York Times.
Lucky Pri-k

So much for Vetting & Background checks !!! Von Braun (ex Nazi ) made the head of NASA !!!!!
If the Commander in chief orders the military into conflict and many die, in “todays” society could the CinC be held accountable for murder?
Again in todays mindset society.
