Matthew Heacook’s mom posted on Facebook over the weekend that President Joe Biden recently called her son after she says he never followed through on a promise to visit on May 1st.
Last week this lit up a billboard was on display on Route 113 on Tuesday. North and southbound drivers can now see the message just north of Route 16 for 10 seconds at a time.
Jim Weller owns the billboard and says it wasn’t his idea, though he supports it. He says he’s not bashing the president, but that he’s among many in the community who are disappointed in him for not acknowledging Cpl. Keith Heacook’s passing.
Weller says President Joe Biden is the Joe this message is intended for and the Joe that Delaware wants to hear from.
“As a citizen of Delaware, he has not told the citizens of Delaware that he is sorry or remorseful that this has happened,” Weller says.
Weller says he and others in the community want to know why the president hasn’t called the Heacooks when he has called other families who have lost loved ones.
The perpetrator calls the victim
He visits the parents of George Floyd yesterday on the one year anniversary of the thug killed in the commission of a felony. And then he finally makes a call to the family of his state’s fallen officer yesterday. No respect he was just shamed into it because of the billboard and afraid of backlash from the media! Worst president ever “sippy cup”.
Too little, too late. Absolutely disgraceful.
Too Little Toooo Late !!!!! GOTCHA
Biggest POS in US History, and that is saying something after 8 years of Obama.
Only because he was shamed into it. He is a disgraceful POS!
Delmar Town Manager Sara Bynum-King should be removed from office IMMEDIATELY! Totally incompetent.
She is a worthless individual.
