President Biden announced on May 10th that flags would fly at half-staff to honor fallen police officers.
Then, after complaints by radical cop-hating Democrats, Biden reversed the declaration and announced flags would fly at full-staff instead.
I support our police. I support our non-woke military. I support honest leaders who actually work on behalf of citizens and the electorate. But flags at half mast has now lost its meaning.
The flags seem to spend more time down the pole than up due to the whims of politicians. It’s true there is no hard and fast rule that comes with a new flagpole regarding this custom. I’m commenting about the proliferation rather than any single event.
