The Florida state Legislature has approved a remarkable anti-rioting bill that establishes serious punishments for those engaging in today’s favorite pop-progressive form of “mostly peaceful protest” — and protects the law-abiding citizens who are typically harmed by this practice.
On Thursday, the Republican-controlled state Senate passed House Bill 1: Combating Public Disorder.
According to a fact sheet from GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, to whose desk the legislation is now headed, the bill makes it a felony offense to gather in a destructive assembly and to obstruct traffic or destroy a public monument during such an assembly.
t increases penalties for those who assault or pelt objects at members of law enforcement during a “violent or disorderly assembly” and those who come from out of state to engage in a riot. It also prevents state aid from going to localities that defund police.
What’s more, it provides protections for citizens forced to use their vehicles as weapons when threatened by an unruly mob.

Should extend to those who fund them
Get -em !!!! Good Governor !!!
It blows my mind that anyone has sympathy for these idiots that get run over. Stand in front of a car with an angry mob trying to kill the driver and you deserve what you get.
This state is more appealing everyday. Is there any area there without snakes and gators? Probably more of them in D.C. and I’m not far from that hell hole. Maybe go down and join the early bird special crowd.
Run them stupid P.O.S. over if they block traffic!
Exactly !!! & make it Legal !!!!!!
Cause and effect. Looking ahead, which leaners seem not to do, these laws are enforced by LEOs (prob not since they MOSTLY have common sense), then there would be over loaded jails.
Whoops, over crowded jails already exist. That too means over loaded court rooms.
Whoops, court houses are so far behind with cases due to COVID delays.
You are making that bed leaners, you will have to sleep in it too.
6:42, I’m sorry to learn you have drank the kool aid as well. Facilities over populated? Yes, will agree on that point, “more room for infrastructure”! Also curious if you’ve seen our current situation at the southern border…….talk about “Crowded”…WOW!
As far as COVID delays and effects, It’s no different on the docket today than 1 Yr. ago or even 2!
Don’t like kool aid (too much sugga!)
Just reading from the pathetic script thats being written. If you don’t follow the script attempts are to then cancel you.
Script now reads NOT to pay attention to the border. Sorry script writers – you must edit your plans cuz everyone is watching and showing videos from the border.
Make laws which “cuffs” our LEOs – well less law enforcement will take place and eventually less LEOs since many will exit that profession and not many will enter it.
(Funny note, OC wants to limit the NOISE on the boards. HAHAHAHA – how are LEOs going to enforce that? Really City Hall???)
Cause and effect.
sanity prevails at least in one state. Hogan? you pos.
