A Wisconsin Children’s Court judge, who previously headed up an LGBTQ organization that fundraised for “drag queen story hour” among other programs, was arrested Tuesday on “tentative” charges of possession of child pornography, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Brett Blomme “was taken into custody by special agents with the state Division of Criminal Investigation ‘following an investigation into multiple uploads of child pornography through a Kik messaging application account in October and November 2020,’” the Journal-Sentinel reports, citing a statement.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice reportedly began an investigation into Blomme after receiving a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the complaint, which also alleges that Blomme shared child pornography with other Kik users through private chats and messaging groups on 27 separate occasions. The complaint lists descriptions of the videos, which are both graphic and disturbing. Some of the videos involve toddlers and other very young children.

This is exactly what is going on at the Wicomico County Library. All of its board members and Wicomico County Library employees are now pro-LGTBQ members and supporters. They are also members of Salisbury’s gay pride community.

Rainbow Crosswalk
A trip to Salisbury is not complete without a visit to our rainbow crosswalk. The City of Salisbury made history in 2018 by unveiling the first rainbow crosswalk in the State of Maryland. Installed by more than 60 Salisbury PFLAG volunteers with donated paint and materials, the crosswalk represents a celebration of diversity and inclusion acting as a beacon of hope for many residents. Volunteers came from all over the Eastern Shore and beyond to participate in this momentous event, traveling up to three hours away to participate.
Located between South Division and Market Street in front of the Wicomico Public Library, the crosswalk has been a prominent feature during the National Folk Festival and in 2020 the inaugural Salisbury Pride Parade will pass over this joyful landmark.
A year after it was first installed, the Crosswalk was repainted and remains strong and vibrant. Snacks, drinks, paint, and supplies were provided by Salisbury PFLAG for volunteers and no costs have ever been incurred by the City.
