Speaking with political commentator Benny Johnson, musician and President Trump supporter Kid Rock described how leftists like Reverend Al Sharpton engaged in cancel culture to get the rock star’s popular Detroit restaurant closed down.
“Al Sharpton and his race-baiting clowns” came after Kid Rock for flying the Confederate flag at some of his concerts, he explained.
When he faced the option of bowing to the Democrat complaints or continue being himself, the “Cowboy” singer told the haters, “Kiss my ass.”
Next, Kid Rock claimed “corrupt city officials” in Detroit were pressured by “a couple of woke snowflakes” to badmouth the musician and said the people of the city had no issues with him.
Years after his Detroit business shut down, the artist opened up shop in Nashville, Tennessee, saying, “Go where your celebrated, not tolerated.”
In the end, it worked out better for Kid Rock because he said he’s making more money in one year at his Nashville honky-tonk than he would have made in 20 years in Detroit.
“I ought to send Al Sharpton a bundt cake,” he joked.
