Maryland Congressman Kweisi Mfume has come out swinging against the Trump administration as federal budget cuts continue, saying President Donald Trump and Elon Musk should be handcuffed.
Mfume says Americans are hurting and decried the administration’s efforts to clean up waste, fraud and abuse at the federal level.
“It’s a damn shame to continue to see what is happening to our nation under the guise of this Trump administration and his Department of Government Evil,” Mfume said. “He and Elon Musk, really in my opinion, deserve to be arrested and charged with assault on the Constitution.”
He joined other Democrats in the Maryland delegation to discuss what they say is the devastating impact on federal workers across the state, adding that they will continue to ‘resist’ the administration.
“Now, I know that might sound crazy and ludicrous, but that’s what we are seeing, a total assault on the Constitution,” Mfume continued.
