Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin who was killed by an undocumented El Salvadoran migrant in 2023, told Newsweek in emailed remarks on Sunday that Senator Chris Van Hollen, a Maryland Democrat, did not contact her family in the wake of her daughter’s violent murder.

Democrats in the State of Maryland like former Governor O’Malley, Senator Van Hollen, Governor Moore, Congressman Raskin, Maryland’s Attorney General Brown , and with Democratic leadership in the State legislature in Annapolis have been working with the organization CASA for the past 15 years to make Maryland a Sanctuary State for illegal immigration.

The hypocrisy of this is unbelievable the silence from Democrat leaders of the brutal murder of Rachel Morin a mother of 5 in Harford County, MD by an illegal immigrant.
Compared to the deportation of an MS-13 gang member who is in the country illegally, the Democrat leaders are expressing outrage and traveling to El Salvador to try and bring him back.
These same Democrat leaders in Maryland have failed to travel to Harford County, MD to meet with the family of Rachel Morin. The Morin family can’t bring Rachel back because she was brutally murdered by an individual who was not supposed to be in Maryland nor the country.
