Winner of ‘Next Dem Going to El Salvador Award’ Has a Small Problem With Her Statement

In the wake of Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s embarrassing excursion to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia which was captured in damning margarita photos, there had been other Democrats who supposedly were thinking about going. It’s like volunteering for an own goal or rushing to board a sinking ship, but they were still doing it.

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) asked the House Oversight Committee to fund their trip. Chair James Comer (R-KY) just leveled them in his response, completely shutting them down and refusing to fund it with taxpayer money.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) had been talking about going but I’m not seeing anything further about that in the last couple of days. So perhaps he’s thought better of it.

But there appears to be a winner in the “next Democrat going to El Salvador” award: Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-Or), a leftist from Oregon (of course).

Here’s a reminder of who Maxine Dexter is.

Warning for graphic language:

How do you top that insanity? You go to El Salvador to “demand” the release of an illegal alien, an alleged MS-13 gang member.
