The Wicomico County Council announces the resignation of Councilman Shane Baker, who has served as the District 3 representative.
In a letter submitted to Council President John Cannon, Mr. Baker stated:
“I, Shane Baker, do hereby immediately resign my position on the Wicomico County Council because I am imminently relocating my primary residence to Delaware. Pursuant to Wicomico County Charter Section 202(E), I am deemed to have resigned from office upon moving my residence from my Councilmanic District. Thank you.”
The Council extends its appreciation to Mr. Baker for his service to the citizens of Wicomico County and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
Individuals interested in being considered for the District 3 vacancy are encouraged to contact their representative on the Republican State Central Committee or the Wicomico County Council Office at 410-548-4696 for additional information. Nominees must reside in Councilmanic District 3 and
be affiliated with the same political party as the departing Councilmember.
