Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters had a meltdown Tuesday to express her disapproval of both President Donald Trump and tech mogul Elon Musk.
Democratic lawmakers held a rally protesting Musk’s access to the Treasury Department. Watters, during her speech, accused him of overstepping his boundaries without electoral consent.
“We have got to tell Elon Musk that nobody elected your ass. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country,” Waters said.
Waters accused Musk of attempting to monopolize the financial earnings of ordinary Americans to fund his space explorations.
“We have told you that you’ve made enough money off our government yourself, and now you want to take everybody else’s payroll and make sure that they don’t make the kind of money that you’ve made. Oh, you want to use our money to go to Mars,” Waters said. The congresswoman also griped about Trump, saying that he and other billionaires are positioning themselves to dominate the country’s political and economic spheres.
