SALISBURY, Md. – Officials will hold a public meeting to discuss development of a dog park at the Wicomico County Welcome Center and Leonard’s Mill Park on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m.
Representatives from Becker Morgan will present design options for public feedback.
The meeting will be held at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Aren’t there already two dog parks in Salisbury? Isn’t there anything else to spend that money on that might be more important?
Wicomico County is going to have Multi Million dollar shortfalls over the next several years and the Genius of this department along with County officials have the nerve to present this to the public for there opinion. Just more proof Wicomico County is really going to the DOGS! And I mean Mongrels!
They better clean up the homeless population out of the woods first.
Right! Having shelter for the homeless would be much more needed than somewhere for Poopsie to socialize.
I would assume that Becker Morgan didn’t work on the design options for free, so that money would already be gone, regardless of the public feedback at the meeting. Where do I sign up to sell stuff to the government before a public decision has even been made?
we should build lots of dog parks. lord knows the citizens of wicomico county are all loaded with money. personally speaking, i had so much money the other day i splurged and paid my rent. hopefully next month i’ll make a car payment.
after this dog park is built, it will be turned over to wicomico county rec and parks to maintain it. this will work out perfect for that cracker jack crew. it will give them another great place to hide. they are getting tired of hanging out at winterplace park and wawa is right down the street. business at wawa will explode.
WICOMICO COUNTY RECREATION AND PARKS IS THE MOST OVERPAID UNDERWORKED DEPT THERE IS. ABSOLUTELY PATHLETIC. MISS JULIE NEEDS TO TAKE A TRIP TO OWENS BRANCH RD AND CHECK THIS BUNCH OUT. BOB CULVER DID AND HE WAS SHOCKED.
it is a fact that our recreation dept. does not have anyone capable of cleaning up after a dog. they struggle to pick up trash at Harman field. they struggle to clean schumaker park. they struggle to get in and out of their trucks! they struggle to do anything except file for workers comp. it is very surprising at the high percentage of rec and parks workers who are injured by riding around in their trucks. however, there was one serious injury when one employee busted himself in the head with a post hole digger and appears to be crippled for life (says he’s dizzy and i believe it!!). these guys know all the ins and outs for filing a workers comp claim and their supervisor never asks any questions. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WICOMICO REC AND PARKS AND TRY NOT TO GET HURT – IT’s DANGEROUS OUT THERE!
Lets not forget, Wicomico County citizens voted for Mrs. Giordano and her group of followers who were supported by Wicomico Delmarva Conservatives and led by Mr. Darren Lombardo. This group welcomes everyone with good ideas and think like they do. So if Mrs. Giordano thinks another dog park is need, then so be it. Perhaps citizens you should vote these same people back in next election. Just like they do in California. Go WDC!
