America woke to horror this New Year’s Day as two apparent acts of terrorism unfolded hours apart.
A deadly truck attack on New Orleans’ iconic Bourbon Street left at least 12 dead and 35 injured, while a Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas injured seven and claimed the life of the suspect.
Preliminary investigations reveal that both vehicles involved in the New Orleans and Las Vegas attacks had been rented via the Turo platform.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a driver in a white pickup truck deliberately drove into a crowd of New Year’s revelers before exiting the vehicle and opening fire. Among the injured were two New Orleans police officers who bravely engaged the suspect in a shootout.
In response, Trump issued a statement condemning the attack and offering unflinching support to the victims and law enforcement:
“When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true.
The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department.
