A Viewer Writes: FOOD LION / Snow Hill Road vs Tilghman Road

Joe,

I’ve noticed a significant customer price difference between Food Lion on Snow Hill Road and Tilghman Road.
Snow Hill Road Food Lion prices are higher than Tilghman Road Food Food Lion.
I can only presume this is because the there is  more EBT card use @ Snow Hill Food Lion.
SHAWTY,  LOPEZ or HAITAN BOO will steal two food items, and buy the third with a EBT card @ Snow Hill Road  Food Lion.
Has any of your readers noticed this too ?

  1. They need to limit what can be purchased with a Food-Stamp EBT card. It should be like WIC – no crabs, steaks, lobster, shrimp, fast-foods, etc! Some of these people live better than me – and then put their stuff in the Baby-Daddy’s Escalade!

    1. They can’t buy steamed crabs with WIC…but they can buy live and hand them back to the clerk to have them steam them.

  2. Makes me so very angry that this happens. Absolutely it should be limited to what they can purchase with that card. Who gets to eat specialty items all the time, certainly not me. Since I’m a USA citizen and not qualified for one of those cards I have to search for affordable foods and then carry the food I have purchased out to my 20 year old vehicle to take home.

  3. how much $$ do you think it will cost to develop a system to handle what can and can’t be purchased? i’m sure it would be a complete pain in the ass for any place who would want to accept EBT. do we want all the stores to pay for the setup cost to limit what can and can’t be purchased? do we give stores a tax break if they agree to accept and integrate with EBT? sure it’s possibly done already with WIC, but EBT aint WIC, and a lot of places don’t accept WIC. hmmm…….

  4. It’s probably the Scan Analyst at the Snow Hill Rd. store not keeping prices up to date. The lady at the Tilghman Rd. store has been with Food Lion 30 years and is the best in the business.
