Houses are trees, flowers are stone, and Liz and Dick Cheney are small-c conservatives, not warmongering statists.
“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart asked Tim Walz on Monday night about his campaign using the neocon Cheneys as political props to win over liberal, moderate Republicans in battleground states like Pennsylvania and Michigan. Walz tried to dodge and bring up other endorsements, including Taylor Swift’s. But when Stewart, to his credit, pressed further, the vice presidential nominee offered an utterly delusional defense and claimed the Cheneys would actually “give permission” to libertarians, constitutionalists and the “Don’t Tread on Me folks” to vote for his ticket.
No libertarian in their right mind would vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, no matter how hard Democrats try to brand themselves as the party of freedom. Sure, it’s possible a registered Republican who lives in Fairfield County, Connecticut, works on Wall Street and has a house in the Hamptons, will pull the lever for the Harris-Walz ticket on Election Day. But the man who lives in rural Michigan, flies a Gadsden Flag on his back porch and listens to Ron Paul’s “Liberty Report,” would sooner vote for Jill Stein than Harris.
