Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano this week, in a effort to get Democrat support against Question A sent out a mail piece showing her good working relationship, with Maryland Governor Wes Moore, interesting enough the quote used from the Governor wasn’t about Question A at all, it was from a ceremony at the airport in Salisbury last week about the runway extension.
Giordano who is a Republican, and campaigned in 2022 as a “Conservative” Republican who supports Donald Trump, went to a fundraiser of his in October of 2022 at Mara Lago , then this summer she attended the RNC convention as a Trump Delegate, and is even a founding member of the group the Delmarva Conservative Movement. a group that was started because of the frustration with Republican leaders on the shore not being “Conservative Enough”.
Now showing her alliance with a Democrat Governor who in just 2 years “evaporated” a surplus he inherited, then his administration has increased Taxes & Fees to the tune of over $400 Million Dollars on Maryland’s Small Businesses & Working Families, Moore and his Administration this past year cut over a $1Million Dollars from Wor Wic Community College in Salisbury taking money from poor struggling community college students, Moore’s Administration this year cut nearly $6 Million Dollars from Public Safety Programs across the State making Maryland less safe, & Governor Moore and his Administration cut nearly $3 Million Dollars from the Rural Maryland Council this year, so will see what Delegate Cornbread will actually be able to do for “Rural Maryland” brother. The Moore Administration is trying to regulate traditional energy companies out of Maryland, and forcing with huge State subsidies to build Windmills for energy in Delaware for the State, get ready for energy rates to go through the roof. Lastly the Moore Administration has committed Billions of Maryland’s tax dollars to build the Red Line in Baltimore City a “Boondoggle” project that will cost Billions to build and Millions to maintain that the vast majority of citizens will not use or ride. Then it appears when Governor Moore has run up big tabs on the taxpayers dime with “Boondoggle” Wind & Transit projects he will split town to run for President, leaving hard working Marylander’s holding the bag….
I guess all of that sounds well and good to a so-called Republican / Conservative County Executive Giordano, who this year tried to lie and deceive the public, and Sheriff Lewis by giving away a police encrypted radio to a biased internet blogger who gave her a $3500 dollar campaign donation, then threatened an elected Sheriff in print, on a Friday night while the Sheriff was on vacation. Apparently the Governor is a whole lot of fun at Ravens games in his suite, so I guess that makes him a “Great Leader” according to the County Executive….
I hope Republicans in Wicomico County see this for it is. This November Vote, and Vote Yes for Question A so Wicomico County can rejoin the 78% of Counties in the Delmarva Peninsula, that stems across 3 States that do not have an elected Executive position currently….
