While speaking in the Steel City, Harris said she considers herself a capitalist and believes in free and fair markets.
Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Sept. 25 a new proposal aimed at boosting U.S. manufacturing during a speech in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
While speaking at the Economic Club of Pittsburgh, the Democratic presidential nominee said she would invest in critical sectors, offer tax credits for manufacturers, and double the number of registered apprenticeships by the end of her first term.
“We will prioritize investments for strengthening factory towns,” Harris said.
“I’m a capitalist. I believe in free and fair markets,” she said, also saying that she strongly supports workers and labor unions.
Harris said her “opportunity economy” approach would enable the United States to lead in future industries and ensure that America, not China, “wins the competition for the 21st century.”
“We will invest in biomanufacturing and aerospace, remain dominant in AI and quantum computing, blockchain and other emerging technologies, expand our lead in clean energy, innovation, and manufacturing,” she said.
I wonder who wrote that speech for her. It is way above her knowledge level and thinking capacity.
Riiiigggghhhttttt…… I’ll sell you one of those bridges in Pittsburgh if ya believe that one. Almost as funny as when she literally bussed in a bunch of people to pose as Pittsburgh area residents at a local Primanti’s and did a photo op. Vance shows up and is told he’s banned from the restaurant by the manager (who also called ‘Corporate’).
Ya wanna see capitalism? Vance made all his own money nobody handed him anything. This in stark contrast to our illustrious VP who claims she’s a ‘middle class girl’ as she attended all those nice upper crust schools and vacations. Vance is like the people of Pittsburgh and those that grew up in the rust belt. The guy was gracious and then went in to the place (even though he was threatened with the manager calling the police), paid everyone’s bill and then left. Made his own money – spent it on others. Ever see that twit Harris ever do anything like that? I didn’t think so. Anyway, I have this bridge to sell so…….
The best possible incentive for U.S. manufacturing is to dump the ignorant professional politician and hire the savvy businessman.
She has had the last 3 years to do something about this. Instead she did nothing. We have seen her true colors and can not trust her broken promises.
