Thank God It’s Friday 9-13-24, What Will You Be Doing This Weekend?

Wonderful weekend for Bike week. For over a week there have already been very bad accidents involving motorcycles outside and inside the island. Be careful all.

Rickie has opponents for mayor this year. Time for a change and new mindset. Not only at mayor, but also with seats that are up on the council. Maybe a moratorium on residential building? Although I’m sure many future residential plans are already approved but how bout a reflection on what’s been done….especially the townhome condo building at the north end bayside.. I get each “unit” is tax revenue but packing them in and front doors feet from coastal highway, Cmon man. Figure a new way to get hotels filled on the south end for more receipts. Present and past councils failed the figure a good solution with hotel partners.

Why isn’t bike week considered a “special event” weekend? Can’t get those 5 or 6 signs changed to 30mph? Or is the discrimination only for car weekends and when there is a threat on the internet? Again mindset downtown needs to change.

Sorry to hear officially that the state of MD (SHA) advised the council that Dreams of a dual route 90 bridge highway anytime soon is in fact a dream. No monies, other priorities. Also need a mindset change with the MD legislature, but let’s start with OC 1st. Route 50 replacement much more important…another 10 years has passed again….don’t think another is in its overdue lifespan.

Crabs are big and hot….Bourbon on an ice cube and sitting on the water is this weekends priorities. Also watchin for tube tops on the back of Harleys too!
