Good fishing for blue catfish extends throughout the entire upper Bay and the tidal rivers. Blue catfish are actively spawning in some waters and may be found in the upper reaches of the tidal rivers.
Blue crabs do very well in warm waters and their feeding and growth increase rapidly. Recreational crabbing is very good in the lower and middle Chesapeake Bay.
