From prosecutor to probation: Marilyn Mosby set to begin home detention after convictions

After serving as the top prosecutor in Baltimore City, Marilyn Mosby will soon report to a probation officer as she begins her home detention sentencing following three federal convictions.

Mosby, who was convicted on two counts of perjury and one count of mortgage fraud, is scheduled to begin her 12-month home detention sentence on June 20. According to the conditions outlined in court documents, Mosby is required to stay within the boundaries of her home, with a few exceptions: she can leave for a job, religious services, medical appointments, court appointments, childcare, and other approved activities. A recent modification clarified that Mosby can also utilize common spaces at her apartment complex.

  1. The likes of Mosby is why Baltimore is in the shape it’s in today. She helped make it into the slum ghetto that it is today.
