The mother of murder victim Rachel Morin said she was “deeply touched” by a phone call former President Donald Trump placed to offer his condolences following the arrest of an illegal immigrant believed to be the assailant.
Patty Morin, mother of Rachel Morin, said on Thursday that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee personally reached out to her Thursday morning to talk with her about her late 37-year-old daughter.
“I am deeply touched by President Trump’s kindness and concern. He was genuine and truly wanted to know how our family was coping,” Patty Morin said in a statement released through her attorney. “He asked about Rachel and showed honest compassion for her untimely death. His words brought comfort to me during this very difficult time.”
Rachel Morin, a mother of five children, was murdered while on a jog on the Ma & Pa trail in Harford County, Maryland, last August.
Police in Oklahoma arrested the prime suspect in the case this past weekend in Tulsa after a 10-month search that involved the FBI and local and state law enforcement.
Biden’s call would end up being about Biden, when what it should be is a deep apology. But that won’t happen.
Dirtbag Biden won’t even bother to talk to them.
