  1. How fast does a 1000w electric quad go?
    Engine & Transmission Specifications
    FINAL DRIVE SOLID REAR AXLE
START METHOD ELECTRIC START – TURN KEY
    TOP SPEED SPEED 1 = 5MPH SPEED 2 = 9MPH = SPEED 3 (UNRESTRICTED) = 16 – 18MPH
    CHARGE TIME 5 – 6 HOURS
BATTERY RANGE 45 – 60 MINUTES DEPENDING ON RIDER & TERRAIN.
So, simple math. an EV ATV can only operate for up to an hour. If the officer patrols around the area for 6 hours of an 8 hour shift, he would have to change out his ATV 6 times a day. You have 10 officers, on duty at the same time. You would need a minimum of 60 ATV’S available at all times. Not to mention you need to take into account the extra ATV’S need while the others or charging.
Cant replace an EV ATV with a gas powered one.

    1. Thank you for adding a little bit of critical thought, common sense and real world economics to this discussion.
