Ocean City Allows Crude Tee Shirts But Not Locks?

While the sign is simply a request, (not law) Ocean City clearly claims these locks create an unsafe environment. What do you think?

  1. I think it’s BS that the locks are creating a safety issue. I do think it is downright disgusting and very unfamily like with the obsene filth and vulgarity on the T shirts that are hung out on the boardwalk in front of the stores for all to see, especially the children. I would not take children to Ocean City because of that. Call that place a family resort if you want to, but any decent, self respecting family would not take their children there, it’s even embarrassing to adults. Between the crimes and obsenities everywhere, families are better off to spend their hard earned money elsewhere than that overpriced crime laden Ocean City.

    1. A couple write their names and the date on a padlock, lock it to something (typically a bridge, in this case the fencing on the Ocean City pier), and toss the key in the water so it can’t be unlocked. It’s a trend that started in the 2000s in Rome and Paris.
