Raheem DeVaughn Says He Is Leaving The DMV Following The Murder Of Friend/Rapper Phil Da Phuture “Enough Is Enough” [Details]

R&B crooner, Raheem DeVaughn is saying bye to his hometown of Washington, D.C. following a recent armed robbery that resulted in the murder of a dear friend of his.

This week, 41-year-old Philip Prendergast, of Silver Spring, MD also known as DMV local rapper “Phil Da Future” was murdered after a robbery that went left.

Prendergast tragically lost his life in an armed robbery at a Northwest dispensary on Wednesday at his job, the Hotbox Uptown dispensary located on Georgia Avenue NW

Surveillance footage depicts two assailants entering the establishment, brandishing firearms and demanding valuables and money. Despite complying with the demands, Phil and a colleague offered no resistance. Shockingly, one of the perpetrators still discharged a firearm, fatally wounding Phil, who succumbed to his injuries hours later at a nearby hospital.

Following the violent incident, cameras captured the perpetrators fleeing the scene with stolen goods and cash in hand. Authorities have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for any information leading to their arrest and conviction. Beverley Prendergast, Phil’s mother, pleads for anyone who recognizes the suspects to come forward with information
