Mom given $10,800 in taxpayer funds for poor families spent most of it on luxury Miami trip: ‘I wanted to blow it’

A mom of three given nearly $11,000 in a taxpayer-funded program for impoverished families has admitted blowing most of it on a luxurious five-day trip to Miami — even getting a $180 glow-up to not look like a “working” mom while there.

Canethia Miller, 27, was one of 132 mothers in Washington, DC accepted last year into the “Strong Families, Strong Future” pilot program designed to help those living around the poverty line, according to the Washington Post.

She chose to take a no-strings-attached $10,800 lump sum, rather than $900 monthly payments — and immediately spent more than $6,000 on the trip for her, her three sons and their father.

“I wanted to blow it. I wanted to have fun,” she told the DC paper.

  1. This is what the Turd Obama started….
The resulting divisiveness will take decades to repair.

This program should be halted because the recipients are really too stupid to actually benefit from it long term the way it was designed.

  2. So after the trip, she is still no better off. Now take her off all social programs and save the tax payers money. What she did was very irresponsible. She could have had an extra 900 dollars a month for the next 12 months which would have served her family a lot better. Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he can be feed for life time.

  3. One bad apple DOES spoil the whole bunch. Too bad. Now even people who deserve some grace and kindness must suffer. Also, racism is obviously going to follow, because racists are always eager to find excuses to pounce.
