FDA Set To Make Decisions Based On Diversity Statements Rather Than Science.

Washington, D.C. – The FDA is set early this year to promote their Chief Scientist, Dr. Namandjé Bumpus, to the #2 position of “principal deputy commissioner” at the FDA. It has been discovered that while at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Bumpus gauged promotions on “diversity statements” in applications rather than on scientific merit.

Statement From Dr. Harris:

“This wokeness in healthcare is extremely dangerous when it exists in public health agencies where credibility is already under strain. I urge Commissioner Califf to immediately stop that promotion – and to also reconsider putting someone else in the Office of Chief Scientist, maybe even considering someone who puts science above diversity. That might restore some confidence in the ability of FDA to protect Americans based on science, not wokeness. That’s what America expects and deserves at FDA.”
