Syracuse, N.Y. — Just two weeks into the New Year of 2023, 11-year-old Brexialee Torres left her home to pick up a gallon of milk at the corner store so her family could cook macaroni and cheese for dinner.
Within sight of her home in Syracuse, she was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. A group opened fire on a 19-year-old man, injuring him and killing the young girl.
