  1. Our culture and lifestyle continue to get worse. All people want to do is – as the Coneheads used to say on “Saturday Night Live” – consume mass quantities. Overeating, overconsumption of alcohol, vaping of all types, lack of almost all physical activity, unwillingness to do any work at all, etc.. All these trends continue to increase our rates of and fatalities from cardio-metabolic diseases. The fix would actually be quite easy, if we weren’t all such fat lazy weaklings with no critical thinking skills and no willingness to put in any effort at anything. We deserve what we’re getting. Eventually, a stronger society will survive and the whole cycle will start again.
