Are You Into Blue Willow?

I recently bought a large collection of Blue Willow dining ware. As you can see, (above) there’s quite a few pieces.

  1. Our maternal grandmother used the willow ware set brought from England by her grandmother in the mid-1860s, who was gifted the set at her wedding. They shipped it in barrels filled with sawdust and excelsior. It came out at Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and a few important family events. My sister’s daughter now has it, along with the 1905 sideboard it’s been kept in. I hope that one of her kids or grandkids keeps it in the family.
