Former United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, Joseph diGenova, has raised concerns regarding the purported silence of Special Counsel Robert Hur.
Hur is currently investigating President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents during his tenure as vice president.
Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Hur as special counsel in January 2023, but diGenova is now questioning the transparency and intentions of the probe.
According to Newsmax on Monday, August 28, 2023, Joseph diGenova’s apprehensions stem from the apparent lack of updates or public statements from Special Counsel Robert Hur.
The appointment of Robert Hur as a special counsel to investigate Biden’s actions came after classified documents, with markings indicating their sensitive nature, were discovered at two locations.
The documents were reportedly discovered at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware residence, and a University of Pennsylvania office in Washington, D.C., utilized by Biden after his vice presidency concluded.
