Biden Waxes Hypocritical in Remarks on the SCOTUS Affirmative Action Decision

Looking and sounding frail, on Thursday, President Joe Biden delivered remarks on another landmark Supreme Court decision. As our Senior Editor Joe Cunningham reported, in a 6-3 decision, the United States Supreme Court has struck down race-based admissions at Harvard and the University of North Carolina, declaring it a violation of the equal protection clause. Chief Justice John Roberts, Senior Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, and Associate Justices Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney-Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh made up the majority. Senior Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote the dissent in one of the cases (Harvard), joined by Senior Justice Elena Kagan and Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Associate Justice Jackson wrote the dissent in the other case (UNC) and was joined by Senior Justices Sotomayor and Kagan.

Biden began his remarks,

Today, the court has walked away from decades of precedent as the dissent has made clear.

Biden then quoted from Justice Sotomayor’s dissent, “Today, this Court stands in the way and rolls back decades of precedent and momentous progress.” Biden affirmed that he was in alliance with the dissenting justices.

I agree with that statement from the dissent.

The court has effectively ended affirmative action in college admissions and I strongly, strongly disagree with the court’s decision.

Because affirmative action is so misunderstood. I want to be clear what the law has been and what it has not been until today.

Biden continued, but repeated lines in a way that seemed as though he had a tic, or was using it as a memorization device, and not because he wanted to give them emphasis.

  1. It goes without saying the Biden is a complete failure. His remarks on this were lethargic at best. The only thing affirmative action was good for was instilling an entitled mentality in many of the black community, and now days many in that community think everything should be given to them. Hard work, saving, effort, ethics, morality….the things that made this nation great, and things in sad supply in black communities. I for one am sick and tired about hearing what ‘they’ need next. Try this – instead of whining, just shut up and take care of yourself.

  2. This man is not competent to be president 3/4 of us know this we can see that he can’t read a teleprompter any more at all, he cannot answer questions, he gets angry if the media asks him a question he doesn’t want to answer the anger and flare ups are much more frequent he needs to be tested NOW FOR DEMENTIA OR ALZHEIMERS. My father had it and I know Joe is badly impaired, anyone can see it he needs to be impeached now or the family just needs to have him step down. The family is not realizing it is not serving the Presidency at any cost it is for the people of this country he needs to step down, they have enough money, they are just being enablers is all and that is not good for them either. Step up and do the right thing.

  3. The EQUAL PROTECTION LAW was violated by AFFIRMATIVE ACTION LAW, since NON-WHITES were given priority.
SO TELL ME HOW THERE WAS DISCRIMNATION AGAINST WHITES and that was EQUAL PROTECTION?
