The Most Reliable Pickup Truck Took a Massive Tumble

When you think about the most reliable pickup truck, the Toyota Tundra or Ford F-150 may come to mind. One model certainly has a better reputation for reliability, but things are starting to slip. The Ford F-150 or Toyota Tundra might not be as dependable as expected.

What is the most reliable pickup truck for 2023?

The 2023 Ram 1500 ranks as the most reliable fullsize pickup truck this year. It outranks popular options like the Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra, and Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This might be a surprise because the Ram truck doesn’t have the best reputation.

However, since the Ram 1500 was redesigned back in 2019, it has made significant improvements to improve its quality. However, the Toyota Tundra was redesigned in 2022, and that’s when its reliability rating took a tumble.

According to Consumer Reports, the 2023 Ram 1500 is expected to be just as reliable as the average new car, while other outlets provided an above-average rating. The 2023 Toyota Tundra and 2023 Ford F-150 are expected to be less reliable than average new vehicles.

  1. I bought a 2019 RAM 1500 and all of the sudden starting seeing RAMs everywhere. I thought at first my observations were simply the result that I purchased my RAM and just noticed the type more often. But after reading this article, I know understand why so many RAM pickups are on the road. I couldn’t be happier with the performance of my RAM 1500. Strong vehicle, smooth, quiet, and comfortable. Very pleased.
