Been an interesting week. More talk amongst the locals with Bud Light. Distributors are letting hospitality know they dont need to purchase Bud products, that they have enough of everything else.
Whoa….distributors offering up other product? Do they really know something we don t know with this short term protest? The season is right around the corner and most vacationers dont really know theres a Bud issue. They want their $1 natural light or hell will be raised. WE know whats happening, but most dont. Hell most dont come to the island anymore. Its the wealthiest who are the minority. June bugs CANT drink and most vacationers stay away until near Jul 4th. Firefighters DO drink and want those dollar beers. Is Milwaukees Best making a comeback? Shaffer? Rolling Rock? Mickeys big mouth? Cmon man.
SHA talk again this week…we already heard about the hold on underground work due to costs increase….now we applaud work being done on time. The 55 refreshed crosswalks got a round of applause until Councilman Deluca asked about the other 88. Wow, lets just fight amongst ourselves in public. Delucaz you received 100k of freebie money from the state. Maybe more of that is coming since the project was done on time. MD is famous for rewarding those who indeed use the money for which they received. (Wonder why roads round Baltimore or PG county suck?….salisbury?) City officials asked for an update to Route 90. SHA said an update soon. Asked if there was any free money.. SHA said no. Of course there isnt money.
Hell, bunch of locals were out at establishments that just reopened this week and no help to be found….food not up to summertime par….Those working, not working.
To me thats a bigger problem than SHA completion or other items to be done in offseason for the season. Get folks into hotels, have hospitality fully employeed. Not clappying for rejuvenated crosswalks.
This summer is gonna be like last year. Not good. So bourbon and a Bud Light chaser because so much of it available. And dont think if it gets cheaper to buy, our business wont buy. Do u really know what your drinking out of a keg?
