  1. Another chilly weekend. Errrrrr. Prob going to continue to LOL about the craziness that is OC City Hall:

    – had to “table” Baltimore Ave utility underground work. Why? A project once to be around $40M jumped to over $60M. How? INFLATION of course.

    – Replacement restaurant on 75th street had to halt completion. Why? Locals not happy about a Tiki bar in the back and the potential future noise. There was also a mention that some permits were not pulled. That means $$$$$ so City Hall woke up!

    – budget work sessions are kinda done. Well, after several years of trying to figure out what percentage of the room tax goes to marketing (been 42%) well not City Hall says a policy is needed. HA, now a policy is needed??? Whatever the equation used to come up with the percentage for marketing – its still ISN’T working!!! Hotel rooms are still EMPTY mid week. Maybe a deeper dive into who you have in charge with marketing – instead of throwing money at it – may remedy the situation. Others north and south seem to have figured it out…… Adding events on the weekends does fill the rooms, but you can not…CAN NOT catch up with mid weekly lost receipts. In hotels nor restaurants. Also remember – you all hate the June bugs….No June bugs means empty rooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Can’t have it both ways!

Someone also finally woke up finally and stated increased costs are outpacing revenues………..I’m sorry – BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH

21st Century…BWHAHAHHAHAHA You can’t make this stuff up!

Bourbon, shellfish and continued laughter for the weekend.

    Stay safe!

  2. 10:48…………..People don’t keep voting for democrats………….they get in office by cheating! That’s the only way they can.
