Sliding Confidence: Majority Of Americans Question The Value Of College

A new Wall Street Journal-NORC poll reveals that a majority of Americans believe a college degree isn’t worth the cost and time. Sliding confidence in the higher education system indicates that the American Dream can be achieved without a college degree. This is an ominous sign for liberal professors teaching meaningless programs, particularly in the humanities.

The poll, conducted with NORC at the University of Chicago, found that 56% of Americans believe a four-year degree is a poor investment, while 42% still have confidence in colleges.

The majority of this skepticism is found among individuals aged 18-34, and those with degrees are among the groups whose views have soured about college. And why is that?

  1. Good.

Young men, in particular- learn carpentry, learn plumbling, learn how to wire a house. Even if you go into some other field, you will have a skill to fall back on in hard times. At the very least, you can make yourself useful when needed around the house.

How to get those kills? If you cant find an apprenticeship …get a ham radio license. Get a drone pilot license. Take whatever classes you can at wor wic or even just fix it 101 at home depot if they offer. . whatever and however you can lean this stuff, do it NOW- Khan Academy has basic electrical and physics stuff for FREE.

Want to learn philosophy and history and languages? All of that stuff is free on youtube, taught by people who actually LOVE those subjects rather then by feminist witches who will tell you how the Greeks and the romans and the Church are all a bunch of evil men,…

Get to it it. The university is dead. Do not mourn it.

    1. Trade schools never left 11:20. The problem is that school kids don’t really want to work with their hands for a living, they want to have someone else do it and let them use it.
