Jill Biden: U.S. committed to ensuring African voices ‘valued’

WINDHOEK, Namibia — U.S. first lady Jill Biden told an enthused crowd of Namibian leaders on Thursday that the futures of the U.S. and Africa are “intertwined,” saying that African voices and leadership are critical to solving the world’s most pressing challenges.

Addressing a luncheon in her honor that featured colorful singing, dancing and drumming, Biden said that when she and President Joe Biden were discussing her five-day visit to the continent, he told her how much Namibia’s struggle against apartheid inspired him to speak out when he was a U.S. senator. Namibia was once under the rule of South Africa, where the government operated under a now-abolished system of white minority rule.

“He understood then, as he does now, that our futures are intertwined,” the first lady told an audience of about 200 Namibian government officials, former Namibian first ladies, diplomats, nongovernmental organization and community-based leaders, United Nations staff and others.

  1. Her? or the Nambians?

We are NOT “intertwined” with Africa.

They are not even “intertwined” with each other.

MORE political BS from a crime family, looking for more opportunities for bribes and kickback deals.

Haven’t the African countries learned enough yet about how we exploit them at EVERY CHANCE WE GET???

    Maybe more dancing will help.

  2. Democrats have never helped blacks and never will , they use that rallying cry to limit, rob and restrict other races to give themselves more power over the people… when you see greedy white peoples saying white peoples are the problem and they’re going to fix it do you really believe their BS ?

  3. The US has come late to the party. China is building real infrastructure in Africa, in addition to the usual food supplies, wells, schools and clinics. Africa is a main source of the raw materials for the electronic and nuclear futures of Earth. Both countries dream of an Africa with a population that can be controlled, preferably without them knowing they’re being controlled. Better yet, in a pinch, no population at all.
