Elon Musk Responds Brilliantly to AOC’s Wild Misunderstanding of Free Speech – He Wants Her to Pay

New Twitter CEO Elon Musk had a little joust on the platform with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York on Wednesday over his plans to institute an $8 per month charge for Twitter Blue and the blue check denoting certified status.

“Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a $8/mo subscription plan,” the congresswoman tweeted.

Musk replied, “Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.”

On Tuesday, Musk tweeted, “Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bulls***. Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.”

  1. Speaking of “paying”. Election day is tomorrow – just vote. Nothing will change on the island unfortunately, but do vote for the US House of Representatives.

Speaking of nothing will change – hey RICKIE, a storm is brewing down south, predicted to come up the coast with very heavy rains and turn into a nor’easter. Start planning instead of partying. No one ran against you so its not a celebration.

Question would be – if NO one voted for you on Tues? That would be new talk of the town!

  2. Twitter, like all other non-governmental entities, simply has nothing to do with the issue of free speech. Only the government is generally prohibited from restraining speech.

  3. Thank you, 10:48…..

Although I must point out that our “leaders” in government are constantly trying to limit “free speech”, mainly because it’s a danger to them.

As in, “march them into the street and hang them on TV with a sign around their necks – “Don’t be like me”.

    Keep cheering.
