Marjorie Taylor Greene tore into a Veterans Affairs medical clinic in her home state after refusing to treat a veteran and kicking him out of the facilities because he did not want to wear a mask due to PTSD.
Representative Greene posted to her Twitter a six-and-a-half-minute video taken by a veteran she identified as Robby Entrekin at a VA clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. The GOP lawmaker took the opportunity to, once again, slam mask mandates and bash the VA for refusing service to a veteran.
The lengthy clip starts by showing a worker at the center informing Entrekin that he cannot use his phone to record employees in the facility.
But it appears what sparked Entrekin to start recording was being told that he could not receive care if he did not put on a face mask.
‘Veteran Robby Entrekin recently visited the West Cobb County VA Clinic (@AtlantaVAMC) and was denied service for being unable to wear a mask due to his medical condition,’ Greene noted in her tweet. ‘This veteran was not just poorly treated by VA employees, he was ASSAULTED for exercising his First Amendment right to record in a public space.’
VA Press Secretary Terrence Hayes told DailyMail.com that the department is ‘investigating this incident and will take appropriate action,’ but reiterated masks are still required in VA medical centers.
‘VA’s top priority is ensuring the health and safety of the Veterans we serve, which is why we request that everyone wear a mask when entering our health care facilities,’ VA Press Secretary Terrence Hayes told DailyMail.com.
‘Of course, we also work diligently to accommodate Veterans who cannot wear a mask for health reasons,’ he added.
Atlanta. What do you expect?
People are still doing these performative mask stunts?
