Demko is a very liberal Democrat. The liberal Democrats in the state legislature have tried to rid our schools of SRO officers. The teachers union is in line with the liberals. Demko and Ennis are endorsed by the teacher”s union To know more about Demko, research the many letters that he wrote to The Daily Times. His son is or was employed by that paper. If any of the candidates have received money from the teacher’s union, they will be expected to vote as the union wants them to. Turn your TV to PAC 14 on Thursday evening at 6pm to hear all of the candidates.
Newflash….most folks, even conservatives like myself don’t want the schools to be secondary police stations…especially for the younger kiddos. There is no reason why you need an SRO in an elementary school…EVER.. For proof of how good they work, go ask parents in Texas. And Remember that the money for them comes out of the underfunded schools and is filtered right to the sheriffs office…as a taxpayer and parent, HELL NO…

Ennis was never a school based administrator, so she she really doesn’t see the day to day, in your face behavior that so many out of control youth display. Bonnie, before you make public statements like this, you need to know what you are talking about. You sort of missed that on your race to the central office. In fact, I’d like to see you run a school for a year and see what tune you whistle on the SRO issue after that.
