A Viewer Writes: City Rivalry?

When did Jake Day and the city get their own high schools? Last time I checked they were owned by the county taxpayers under the county Board of Education and they are even playing at the “County Stadium!” Why do these liberal news outlets always do this? That’s why normal people don’t trust the news! Where is the outrage?? Can you imagine the City of Salisbury trying to have its own schools and it’s own Board of Education! It would be a mass exodus of the decent families left getting as far away from the Ghetto as possible! Its a County rivalry at the County Stadium!

  1. who cares about the rural fringes of the county when no one really lives there and the tax base is less than 10% of the county’s finances?

  2. The games between Parkside, Bennett, and WiHi have always been referred to as a “city rivalry.” It has nothing to do with what borders the games are played in. No one is trying to jilt the county. All three schools are within the “Salisbury area.” The players all look forward to these games to eventually win the “city title.” Nothing more. No politics. The taxpayers aren’t screwed. And it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Mayor or County Council.

  3. ohhh so exciting, who’s gonna be top dog in the sewer? bet wicomico will even want in on that action!
whoever writes that crap up is a freakin idiot!
    get a life!
