I don’t know the particulars behind the attached sign that has been posted on Route 50 for the past month. I recently have had a similar situation occur to me from the same company. I did not put the sign there. However, I have had recent work performed by one of Hertrich’s Millsboro, DE Collision locations. It began with the submission of accident photos of an outside mirror to my insurance company on June 6th. Now, 3 months (12 weeks) later, I was notified to pick my vehicle up since the body work was completed. Unfortunately, it now has an inoperable a/c. For nearly the entire month of August, the shop had possession of my car (and keys). They never noticed that it had a broken a/c and that it must have existed as a result of the original accident (over 3 months ago?) They never noticed the car was blasting out superheated air in the drivers face. It they did, they must have assumed that was normal because this issue was never reported. In my case, I was advised to take the car to a dealer because their work was complete. Actually, I thought Hertrich WAS a dealer but that never came up. In the end, they did give me a printout of their computer scan of my car, Bin Laden is dead and they stated that the remote mirror they replaced was nowhere near (both on driver side) where they performed any repair work. As for me, I haven’t been within 100 yds of the car for a month.
It is my hope that someone spots this note and can add any useful information regarding my situation, the owners of the road sign, and those that may wrongly trust their repair shops to care and protect their valuable auto investment while in their care.
Dealers are the worst possible place to take your car for repairs…………of any kind!
Do you think maybe we should let the Insurance companies take over the repair of cars?
They are an authorized repair center for insurance companies. There are only a couple of choices on this shithole community.

Do you even know how the insurance companies are avoiding payouts to their policy holders? This is one example but its only veterans that they affect:
When using a shop that is not within our USAA network (also known as a shop of choice): -You are electing to take responsibility for your shop. -Any servicing or parts delays are to be handled between yourself and your shop. -Any workman ship issues will need to be handled between yourself and your shop. -Any differences in part cost or labor rates are to be paid by yourself without reimbursement by USAA. -Any unnecessary or unreasonable charges are to be paid by yourself without reimbursement by USAA. -Any charges from rental outside of the approved repair time are to be paid by yourself without reimbursement by USAA. -Any rental charges caused by delay by your shop are to be paid by yourself without reimbursement by USAA.

safford is a prime ripoff place . the guy that is short has dark hair and glasses that works in the service department at the dodge location is always selling customers repairs that are not needed. I have heard some older people and other customers that If he says I need the repair then I must need it. he needs to be fired!!!!

This Company is a complete joke and anyone who is ever thinking about joining this Company is a damn fool, they lie and lie some more and could care less about their Employees. This is from a pissed off Wife who really hopes the Hell that Hertrich reads this.
So, Hertrich adds additional damage to a car while trying to fix what it was taken it there for, denies liability and covers it up then USAA refuses represent their policy holder because Hertrich is not a “preferred repair facility”.
What a cozy relationship these two companies have. This has been ongoing since June 8, 2022. Hertrich refuses liability damage they caused and USAA denies policyholder representation. USAA continues to deduct money from my account for Policy payments and Hertrich continues to get paid. All of this has been taking place under the noses of Sussex County, Delaware. But it sounds as if this has spread into Wicomico County, Maryland as well.
Insurance is a scam that we are forced to pay, they don’t give a rats A** about you, its a money making scheme. Why do you think they are so rich? Dealerships know how to maneuver to get what they want out of you too!

In December, I had one vehicle totaled and another vehicle rearended.Nither was my fault, My insurance agency is Avery W Hall. They took care of everything.
Thee are no honest dealerships around here anymore. Those days are long gone.
Take a look at the lots of what Dealerships are left. They are near empty already.
The sign was still there this evening. I’d love to talk to the person about his experience with Hertrich but there is no contact info. Anybody know it?
The car in question has a computer (EDR?) and other devices to detect and store error conditions. I have an error code indicating a short circuit condition in my A/C. Do these devices register a date/time when an error occurred? I want to determine if my code was generated during the time the car was under Hertrich’s possession.

Yes,it should give that info how ever it most likley can only be retived with a dealership DRB hand held instrument and not one that is genaric.
