No Updates On Berlin Hit & Run

Once again, weeks go by without any updates referencing the hit and run death of a 14 year old in Berlin. I am constantly asked where things stand and I have nothing to offer. I will say this, I will not just let this go and disappear.

  1. Dear readers,

As has been noted in past commentary on this website, quite a bit of conjecture resounds regarding the very suspicious and highly suspect behavior of this very unfortunate incident. Like many, I respect the work of our LEO’s and the State’s Attorney’s office, but it is indeed time for them to share what they have. We all respect the sensitivity of this case, and the fact that it must be handled well and completely, but after more than a month the family deserves answers. To that end, the family has been quite gracious, but the agony they continue to face on a daily basis is more than enough reason to come forward with pertinent information.

    Kind regards,

    Paladin

    1. I seriously hope that the lack of response is because they are building a really good case and just being cautious, otherwise this is really concerning. I pray this family gets some justice!

  2. I’ve heard LEOs are making sure their ducks are in a row, and checking it twice, since the family has money and will obviously try to get off on a technicality. The driver and his mom are in another country. The other part is a witness who’s willing to testify he was the driver. Supposedly they had taken apart the front end of the car in their garage to get rid of the damage when it was finally found.

  3. I can only hope and pray that the police are doing everything they can to get the family some peace. Having said this, I am concerned that things will get pushed under the rug. All 3 of these people need to be prosecuted to the fullest. They haven’t told the truth since day one. Mr. DeAngelus should be ashamed of himself, he was behind the car that hit this young man. Please just find them and put them away for a long time. All three not just the driver that hit him. Because good parents don’t defend this action. The mother and Mr. DeAngelus are just as guilty for harboring a fugitive. They have really taught a good lesson here. Let’s see if the law will do right by the family that has been in such pain.
Much love the the family and I pray for you every night.

    1. I was told by the state police that the truck has been located. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, now the real work begins. Great job as always from our state police.

  4. 29 year old got swept under the rug, 47 covered it on their website but could not find it on WBOC’s website, they are all still too busy bashing Trump and supporting the New World Order Ukraine to cover anything happening in Salisbury.

  5. Another bad accident late Friday afternoon on Rt 50 West I guess they probably consider this Hebron, who knows anymore anyway it was down from the Royal Farms, traffic really backed up, it looked like the top had to be cut off the car, so it did not look good but do you think any of our news bothered to cover it on their websites, of course not it is the Weekend and we have no News coverage on the weekends.

  6. Well over a month –

    1. No blood sample to confirm DUI
    2. The police have the car (cut up/not cut up who knows) but do they know who was driving?
    3. Driver and passenger are allegedly mother and son and in Mexico – Has anyone applied for extradition? Is any USA LEO/Bounty Hunter in Mexico hunting for them? If not, why not?
    4. Mr. DeAngelos – – aiding and abedting? Who’s credit card was use to book the flight to Mexico? I’m sure the LEOs have that much for sure.
    5. Why isn’t the State’ Attorney’s office issuing some sort of update that would confirm (without details) that they have located a suspect/suspects and are working to bring them to justice?

Sorry folks – well over a month and the game will be to draw this out as long as possible. I don’t see this poor kids family getting any justice at all. In fact, I really do think that DeAngelo covered and stalled just long enough for them to get away with this. Once again, the good ‘ole boys win. In a year nobody will ask any questions….something will get negotiated quietly and the driver/passenger will return to town and no one will say a thing…all hush hush.

I hope I am wrong. I don’t know the Worcester County State’s Attorney, but I hope she is tough as steel and is able to bring this to a courtroom and gain a conviction. Unfortunately, I am also a realist – I just don’t see it happening.
