A Comment Worthy Of A Post

Dear Readers,

I would look forward to an update from SBYNEWS regarding the hit and run incident that recently took the life of a 14 year old boy. By all accounts, the community is extremely frustrated by this, and I’m sure the pressure is on the State Police and Kris Heiser.

That said, the absolutely bizarre statements by Matt Ortt, followed by his partner Ralph DeAngelus did more to confirm questions the community has had regarding this. The only explanation I can figure is for them to attempt to change venue for an impending trial. There is much speculation that the driver and passenger have absconded to Mexico, and that Mr. DeAngelus was following behind the black Mercedes that hit the unfortunate young man.

Further, with the White Marlin Occurring this week, maybe a winner will donate some proceeds to the family in their search for the truth.

Sorry Joe, just my thoughts and probably not what you were hinting at. Just something that has been on my mind.

Regards,

Paladin

Publishers Notes: Easter Shore Undercover perhaps had the best statement out there referencing this matter. They complimented the parents of the 14 year old killed stating, (I’m paraphrasing) God Bless this Family for having such patience while the State Police do their investigation.

However, I can tell all of you that this is the talk of the Shore, especially in Ocean City. I’ve heard so many different rumors from people who act like they absolutely know the whole story, they don’t. As for the delay, it’s extremely frustrating but you have to THINK. Is there ANY witnesses to PROVE the driver is in fact the driver? Remember, the Police have to PROVE such and that’s not easy without a confession. I’m not at all defending anyone so don’t get my statement wrong.

People want answers, I get that. People deserve answers but you’ve heard me say this so many times in the past 18 years of my owning SBYNews, Good Ol’ Boys. Everyone discussing this matter are saying the same thing, people with money get away with far too much on the Shore.

This is an election year. Perhaps it’s time to contact your local representatives and demand answers. Hold everyone accountable and that includes law enforcement, states attorneys and elected officials. Stop the RUMORS and send out a press release with updates and factual information.

  1. The accident was tragic; deepest sympathies to the young man’s family. R.I.P.

Thanks to Paladin for freshening the topic. Forensics on the suspected vehicle shouldn’t take forever. Accounts have stated the boy was crossing the road to return to a vehicle; who was that driver and what do they recall?

If there was a passenger/s in the vehicle that hit the boy, they are a witness, and possible accessory.
If there was a vehicle following the car that struck the boy that driver and any passengers are witnesses.
    Who called 911? When?
The suggestion that the driver and passenger/s have fled the jurisdiction via aircraft brings in conspiracy, and flight manifests should be traceable for private, charter and scheduled airline flights.

A truly sad event, worsened by a failure to own up from the moment it occurred. Let’s pray justice prevails.

    1. Really, ya think and thanks for more gossip, and speculation. Keep your day job.

The Double Jeopardy Clause in the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution prohibits anyone from being prosecuted twice for substantially the same crime.

The state police are going to take their time to get it right, as they should., no matter how much the public complains

It really isn’t the public’s business, since there is no immediate danger. The outcome changes nothing publically.

Give the family a few moments of peace.

  2. “people with money get away with far too much on the Shore.”

If you have ever worked for the Town of OC, you would know that. Nepotism drives the town and the Government there.

The Town has had a good year financially. What are they talking about? Increasing Pensions.

  3. Secrecy always creates questions of cover up and rightly so. If this incident did not involve someone of prominence we would already know all of the facts. It is always best to keep the public informed. Yes, this smells like a cover up.

  4. It takes a helluva long time for police to investigate a fatal accident… recreation of the accident can take a very long time….if there is no witness to prove WHO was driving, it’s going to be difficult… even if everyone pretty much can have a good guess who did it…be patient…

  5. i call bs! not that hard to do an investigation and find out who was driving. so why the delay in charges? Was it paul pelosi? or another of his kind? maybe the demented pos Xiden on his bike?

  6. “Further, with the White Marlin Occurring this week, maybe a winner will donate some proceeds to the family in their search for the truth.”

Pally – its not the participants of the WMO to donate. Biggies on the island like the Leightons, McFauls, Burbage, Harrison Group, Trimpers, OTO Development, et al – yet I think most are staying more than arms length away and remaining on the island. Also don’t think with the rumors a Gofundme will work.

Let this play out without any MORE outside interference/distractions.
