Sunday’s Question Of The Day

What is your thoughts on the Supreme Courts decision on Roe vs. Wade?

  1. The protests and violence of those who are pro-abortion are showing their ignorance of the Supreme Court’s decision or they’re getting paid to riot, which has been happening. The Court simply ruled to give the power to make abortion laws in the legislative branch so that legislatures can pass whatever laws on abortion they want without the courts interfering. We know what’s going on here. The Biden Administratin wants to start a crisis to cause marshal law to go into effect so they can eliminate upcoming elections.

  2. Abortion was NEVER a right as the left likes continues to say. Nowhere in our Constitution is the word abortion even used. Rather there is plenty of language to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all.
These people who are destroying our Nation for whatever reason they find are only allowing the rest of us to see how murderous their intentions are. I mean really who in their right mind would support, defend, and destroy to protect their right to murder???
    Life should be valued.
And besides the real issue that should be discussed is the fact that birth control is so easy to get.
So they need to stop destroying our nation and go away.

    1. What about rape and incest? Some states are now prohibiting abortion even in those cases. And, birth control may not remain available if the Supreme Court overturns the Griswold v. Connecticut case, as Uncle Clarence has suggested. It’s funny, too, that if you follow Thomas’ thinking then any/every constitutional right must be grounded in the Framers’ intent at the time the Constitution or Amendment was drafted — so the right to interracial marriage (like his own) is certainly questionable, as is even his own right to be a citizen of this country (at least would have been until the 14th Amendment overturned the Dred Scott v. Sandford). Look, we can all get lost in the legitimate technical arguments about jurisprudence, states’ rights, and Constitutional interpretation. But for those of you who seem to crave a return to the “good old days” you are really just wanting a return the days when you could be racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic.

      1. “But for those of you who seem to crave a return to the “good old days” you are really just wanting a return the days when you could be racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic.”

…No 9:08, we aren’t looking for a return to the “good old days” but rather, the days of self responsibility and moral conduct.

Oh, and btw, the whole racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic” bit….just shut up. That was worn out quite some time ago and we are all sick and tired of the sily virtue vocabulary you think makes you sound smart and educated. I’d strongly suggest tht you visit a church and pick up a Bible a bit more often.

        1. BTW, last I heard, the Supreme Court hasn’t yet overturned the First Amendment, so I’d strongly suggest you stop acting like everyone needs to be a member of your church and read your Bible. Churches, and people like you, are responsible for a great deal of evil in the world. I’d strongly suggest you learn to be a truly good person and think for yourself. That would be self responsibility and morality.

          1. 5:33 – Lash out much? 3:08 just said what we all think and your response confirms it. Look on the bright side, as there are 194 other countries in the world to go live in.

      2. Whatever the reasoning, taking a life no matter how old it was, is MURDER. Just like Boothe and Lincoln. The person that takes it, isn’t entitled to their excuses.

    1. I wish people would get excited about the border, gas and the economy and not this pr stunt. The dems have nothing and are trying to make this the battle cry for November . It’s up to the states to decide as it should have been all along.

  3. I believe the supreme court has made a political decision to appease the left . I also believe murder is a felony and should be treated as such . If you murder a child in the womb you should pay with a murder conviction .
We have given the public every way possible not to get pregnant with free condoms , free birth control etc..
I don’t believe the court should have anything to do with these decisions. Read the most most popular book in the world , “The Bible” it will answer all your questions .( King James version)

  4. With our country (the world) so fucked up now and the SC has literally burned our CONSTITUTION in the last decade, this is just them throwing us conservatives a bone .

This dose not stop abortions – it throws it back to states. In our (new) society, the RINOS will fold and most if not all states will roll to making it legal.

This is just smoke and mirrors

  5. The topic of the decision is not important to me – I have already fathered children and had the big “V”! Concurrently, having served a long time in the US Marine Corps – I don’t own a firearm – nor have burning desire to own one!

The fact that the Supreme Court struck down a ‘right’ that really wasn’t and returned it to the states (it isn’t in the constitution – but the reference to the responsibility of the states is), is the important part.
The other decision – telling New York that their “cause” clause is an infringement to something specifically spelled out in the constitution – upholding the actual ‘right’ spelled out in the constitution is fundamentally important as well.

Some people say they are conservative justices – I say they are constitutionalist judges.

    There are solutions available…
Local states can enact laws guaranteeing freedom for service seekers – or the nation can pass another constitutional amendment.
Passing a constitutional amendment modifying the second amendment is the only recourse for wanting to infringe. Precedent for that is prohibition and its’ repeal…it can be done with national will.

Unfortunately, the country is so divided, they can’t focus in common-ground that fits within this constitution-based framework.

Meanwhile, thanks to the constitutional-minded justices that set these items straight. May they live long and continue to do the founding fathers’ work!

  6. If the SC upheld Roe, I can guarantee those against abortion would not be acting like this

What you have is the mainstream media blatantly lying about what this means. RBG even said that the original ruling on Roe wasn’t right. The federal govt overreacted in the original ruling. They’ve sent it back to the states which is where it should’ve been. Then you have people who are shockingly uniformed who hang on every word they hear and believe abortion has been outlawed completely.

  7. Roe vs Wade has always been unconstitutional even Ruth Ginsburg acknowledged that . It’s for each state to decide based on what their voters want … This is democracy and it works

  8. Either way, there was going to be violence and protests. Thats the society we live in. Dont like an outcome, throw a fit and destroy things. Nothing will happen to you. If police rough you up, plead in court, show video and cry brutality. It seems to work well these days

Not sure if we have matured in this 21st Century. More like stepping back to the wild wild west we all have read about in the 19th century.

    1. Strongly disagree. There wouldn’t have been rioting if Roe was upheld on the part of the pro-life crowd.

      1. We agree to disagree. The volatility of this nation is huge and most outcries have resulting in violence. Not good at all for all of us.

  9. Concerned Retiree

Glad they stood up for life and against murder. All the DEMOCRATS are mad , since it went against their beliefs of DICTATORSHIP that they are / were wrong. This was a victory for the CONSTITUTION they are attempting to destroy with a coup.

  10. Hmmmm if the rendering back in 1973 was wrong and other recent supremes have said so, that says alot about the 1973 Supremes.

We have somewhat matured in 50 yrs. Presidents and state governors have term limits and rightfully so. The need for term limits for congress and the supremes is even more relevant today and going forward.

Even playing field can be bought too, but at least those in the seats wont make lifetime careers.

  11. Didn’t know millions of women got pregnant just to have an abortion. Not saying some don’t need it. Saying just use it

  12. The Miracle of Life is real. And the ‘My Body’ argument is false.

At and after conception, the fetus, child, baby, clump of cells, whatever term you use, has unique DNA. The mother is now the host of the developing infant but the child’s genetic structure is now uniquely its own. Thus an abortion is a murder of an infant on the grow. Inconvenient fact for those intent on barbarism, but true.

    1. Umm … Gay people can get pregnant and be raped too, so what are you really trying to say? I guess you just don’t like gay people.

  13. So 5:33..don’t read the Bible. Remain lost, just ask yourself what would lucifer do and you’ll have your answer. Since you don’t read life’s guide then you agree with lucifers interpretation Got it!
Or maybe the big bang lie of we all just got here by random evolution. Creation was GOD made as is life in the womb…the second we deviated from HIS plan for us….man & women..is when the problems started.

Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
