SNOW HILL – As construction of the first phase begins, plans for the second phase of a new development off Route 589 are moving forward as well.
The Worcester County Planning Commission last week reviewed the site plan for the second phase of Triple Crown Estates, the residential community being built adjacent to Ocean Pines.
“This project’s been approved for a very long time,” attorney Mark Cropper said. “This is just a continuation of what was originally approved without any material changes.”
Cropper presented the commission last Thursday with the site plan for phase two of Triple Crown Estates. The project, which received initial approval in 2015, at one point included duplexes but was adjusted in 2020 and now is made up of 60 single family homes.
Phase one, which is under construction now, consists of 30 units while phase two, which was under review last week, will also include 30 units.
Ironically, horses will not be allowed.
It’s funny how in this county when big money, and county officials are involved, everything runs like clock work. But a guy trying to put up a garage, or other private property alterations, or start a small business. They have to jump thru more hoops than a circus horse to get permits, etc, approved. We the citizens know what’s going on. Follow the money. The good ole boys are.
Another development to be occupied by retirees from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. More human and traffic congestion, loss of open land and all problems associated with too many people; however, developers and government only care about the profit.
Bertino, and Metricic are come here’s, not one of us. They want to capitalize off their positions. And the North end is made up of a bunch of come here’s too. So they keep getting elected. Don’t mistake that real eastern shore people like you. We smile, and be polite. But your still a fly in the ointment to us. And this is why. No matter your status. Sorry hotshots, you’ll never be accepted as one of us.
Still waiting for the expansion of 589. Ooopps, im sorry that happens AFTER real estate saturation. Silly me for thinking logically.
