A Viewer Writes: *BREAKING*

The Republican Party of Wicomico is looking for a good candidate to run for County Executive! Currently there is a school teacher and 2 former state troopers, all with absolutely NO experience to run a County of 110,000 people and a multimillion dollar budget. Running a classroom of 15 teens is not the same as running a County. Driving around in a police car is not the same as running the largest county on the Eastern Shore! Both commendable jobs but that doesn’t qualify experience as the County Executive! Your taxes will skyrocket under their failed leadership! They are already talking to Mike Dunn of the GSC about removing the Revenue Cap! This County needs someone with business leadership! Please do it while you have time! The Board of Elections HAS to accept your application until 9 PM on Friday April 15, 2022.

The Party also needs good candidates to run for District 1 and District 4! Don’t give Hastings a free ride, he’s already admitted that he doesn’t want the seat because he is making plans to run for the House of Delegates, 38B. He just wants to stay long enough to remove the Revenue Cap!

Less than 24 hours until the filing deadline! If you would like to file to run for Office, please visit :

  1. Dear viewer ,
The county needs exactly what you don’t like , you don’t have have a clue what qualifications these people have ,all it takes is knowledge of finance and ( the present and the past has had none ). We need to look at the future
and forget about the politics and good ole boys. Dear viewer , you have to be a democrat .

    1. In my experience, teachers are the worst when it comes to understanding finance. As for state troopers, we won’t even go there.

  2. Dear Viewer,
another thing I failed to mention , name me anyone in then past who has had the leadership you suggest!

  3. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – we need to do away with the county executive position in Wicomico County!

  4. Maybe I’m a little confused…

The acting executive is running in the Republican Primary for this position. As the Director of Finance and acting County Executive, I would expect that he already has the financial knowledge and has gained the experience needed to successfully run the county.

I have not seen or heard of anything he has done that is detrimental to the running of the county.

The council, on the other hand needs to be flushed – they are mostly crony business people that are bent on filling their pockets with taxpayer money.

As for the Revenue Cap, since it voted in on a referendum, it should have to be voted out on a referendum as well. Granted, we have enough non-contributing stupid people in this county that just might fall for that too – but, the vote still needs to take place!

  5. Richard Pollitt will run for anything that consists of a big desk, a big leather chair, a nice office, very little work, has a title with it and looks prestigious. If what you are looking for requires more than that, then Mr. Pollitt is not your man.

  6. The liberal finance director of Wicomico County is who is running the county. She sits at the helm of most council meetings speaking for department heads and the executive. Her and Psota tried to ramrod hand picked bloated salary increases for there elite with the peasants of the county workforce picking up the crumbs. The money taxpayers paid for the salary study was a waste. Typical liberal conduct in getting a outside force to determine what the Maryland association of counties and your Human resources director could have materialized in about 2 weeks and 50 k less but now they can point the fingers of disgruntled employees to Bolton and say well this is what your worth and its the position not the person and the is total B.S. All employees work ethic, yearly evaluations and time of service should be taken into consideration when a salary increase is considered. There are several irritated employees planing to walk over a unfair liberal administration looking out for there kind. Remember taxpayers when this salary bill comes up to express your thoughts on how this county should determine salary increases instead of just throwing money at the problem without solving the problem.

Last and not Least! Vote Ernie Davis for County Executive!
