As President Trump begins his mammoth lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and those others involved in the Russia hoax, he’s also getting some great news on another legal front: the Manhattan DA just “indefinitely” ended the investigation into former President Trump and his business, the Trump Organization.
News on that yuge legal win for the former president comes from Fox, which reports that:
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg stopped pursuing charges against former President Trump and suspended the investigation “indefinitely,” one of the top prosecutors who resigned from the office said in his resignation letter–but disagreed with the decision.
Mark Pomerantz and Carey Dunne, who had been leading the investigation under former DA Cyrus Vance, submitted their resignations last month, after Bragg began raising doubts about pursuing a case against Trump.
The relevant passage from Pomerantz’s letter, a letter which was reported on by the New York Times, says:
“You have reached the decision not to go forward with the grand jury presentation and not to seek criminal charges at the present time. The investigation has been suspended indefinitely.”
Suspended indefinitely means put on the shelf until more Trump harassment becomes necessary. It has no expiration date.
