Joe, I just received, though I did not request it, a Mail-in-Ballot Request Form form for the 2022 elections. No, this is not a request for an absentee ballot. It is a request for a convenience ballot. Now I’ve used absentee ballots many times during my military service and that system worked very well. When my mom and mother-in-law were in their very senior years, they were also able to use the absentee ballots and again the system worked well.
During the 2020 election, I believe we all saw how easily the mail in ballots could be manipulated along with unauthorized drop boxes and no signature verification on ballots. These types of voting rules suppress the voting rights of true registered voters. They open the doors to illegal manipulation of voting outcomes and do a great disservice to the American voting system and the American people.
I am going to mail this form back to the Maryland State Board of Elections in Annapolis and suggest what they can do with it. I hope that others will follow my action.

The summer of 2020 I too received a mail in ballot. At the time I was mildly annoyed at this and went in person to vote that November.
So it was disgusting and disgraceful when I realized the election was rigged. In large part it was exactly because of the mail in ballot I received (but didn’t use) but many, many others had been.
One day, one vote, id required.

From the Maryland State Election Board website:
“Mail-in Voting: Information and Instructions for the 2022 Elections
Important Note: A recent change in the law requires the State Board of Elections and each local board of elections to refer to absentee ballots as “mail-in ballots” and absentee voting as “mail-in voting.” Please note that this change in terminology does NOT change the process of mail-in voting.”
Hmm. Why the change, who ordered it and what are the repercussions, i.e., opportunity/ability to cheat?
Mail in ballots are necessary for your seniors and those that are not driving. It is the job of the Election Board to see if the ones received have a record of voting, and that they are citizens of this county, pay taxes and at least have a green card or valid driver license or photo idea with a good address.
BS dont need any of that to vote in fact they tell you not to show an ID or drivers license
Then why are they sending them to 20 year olds????????
If all absentee ballots are now called mail-in ballots, does it mean that all mail-in ballots are what used to be known as absentee ballots, or are there other types found in the mail-in ballot category?
When the government changes the name of some policy or substitutes one definition for another, it sometimes means politics are afoot.
Five of these Mail-in-Ballot Request Forms arrived at my house of 2 people. Now if I was dishonest and mailed them all back in then we would receive 5 ballots back of which I could fill out. They would probably most certainly count all those votes even though only 2 would be legal.
