Maryland Welcomes All

Dear Friends,

You are invited to a Maryland LGBTQ DLC Council Meeting on Zoom with your host Mia Mason. She is the 2020 Democratic Nominee from Maryland District One who ran against Rep. Andy Harris (R-GOP). She is also the First Transgender Veteran to win a Congressional Primary in the entire United States.

Maryland is extremely proud of her efforts; however, we need to talk about the upcoming issues that will directly affect our LGBTQIA+ communities in 2022. It’s time to hear your thoughts about the issues that didn’t pass in the past four years. We’re looking to take your ideas directly to pen to paper, ASAP. Which why we’re also looking for volunteers like you! The more help we get now will allow us all plenty of time to prepare or present our bills, speak to our elected leaders in Annapolis or Washington, D.C. Plus, it will give us plenty of time to review any legal challenges and address those concerns to our elected or newly elected officials.

We also need a big ask of our LGBTQ Community to step up and run for office in 2022 or plan to run in 2024. We’re wanting a full rainbow of Candidates throughout the state of Maryland from 2022 onward!

Lastly, we need your support in each in town, city, or county to represent and help promote any upcoming LGBTQIA+ events for 2022! If you have an upcoming or newsletter please send these to Mia at LGBTQ@MDdems.orgor text her at 410-946-2766.
